the polka-dot pleated skirt affair

hello.

i am at work right now, and i'm grumpy because it's raining out and i'm not at home sleeping my ass off. also, comfort crashed with the amount of cabs that singaporeans require and so many guests at OSR suddenly need cabs like NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW. cue rolling of eyes*

getting pissed off for not being able to get a cab is so.... #firstworldpains.

HAHAHAHAHA.

spent a few hours last night working on crossing one item on the list in a post: sewing something. so i finally got down to doing it and dug out a random piece of material that was left lying around on one of my 'i must sew something' kicks.

you can find anything on the internet nowadays! and it's so damn helpful when it comes to tutorials and such.
started work on the pleats and did some hemming etc etc. pretty simple actually.

the end result:

taken from my tweet. i think it looks okay, even though the pleats aren't obvious enough and the hem is ever-so-slightly crooked as with the waist that looks a little wonky. but from far enough it looks perfectly fine! hehehehehe

thinking of other projects to do and i think i will just drop by Chinatown later to get more fabric!

• Burlap/Canvas material
• Nylon Thread
• Zippers

have no idea what else to get, but i'm so excited! can foresee myself spending so much unnessecary money on this sewing kick.

hokay shall wait for my beef noodles to come and finish reading the FHM magazine i found! and the top 100 hottest females list is ridiculous.

shall do my own top list of hottest females i've ever taken note of real soon!

Blogging on the go

So, I've downloaded the blogger app for the iPhone and since I've nothing to do, I shall try this!

The problem with this is that I don't really have blog worthy photos in my phone.

Shall test this baby out anyway. So here's a photo of the cake that I made for Bee's birthday. When I say 'I', I really meant Bec. Hahahahaha was running late and she loved me enough to help me do the whole damn thing without complaining hahahahaha

Okay. Can't be bothered to struggle with this anymore. Shall post and see how it looks + wait for my Mac + catch a nap. Heehee

The to-do list

it's been ages since i last updated! a photo of a polaroid from my cousins wedding on Sept 1st, and i have yet to upload my side of the photos. procrastination + laziness has got the better of me as usual.

alright so all i've been doing recently is just work work work work + fall sick every few days. it sucks and i've come to realize the importance of having good health. (and a good insurance plan). also, i've been thinking about getting a second job, and it so happens that due to the erratic nature of my schedule, it's quite hard to do.

oh well. shall have to find a way around it. time to put in some hardwork. something which i've been putting off for the longest time.

i am absolutely determined to put in full use of my time tomorrow. here's the list.

• Clean up my room (Possibly change the layout of my room. again.)
• Do laundry. ALL of it.
• Do facial masks, body scrubs and hair treatment
• Organize time 
• Sign up for sewing classes 
• Do exercises at home for an hour 
• Update Blog  (optional)

Yes, so there's my to-do list on my off day! productive productive day.  i hope. they say it's all about the momentum of learning discipline and it will become a habit!

now, i'm off to drink my bio-slim. I WILL DRINK IT EVERYDAY!!!!! and not eat so much hopefully i will finally slim down. ihatemyfatthighssodamnmuch. ):

some people are just born with everything. sigh.

From Work

so, i'm @ work now, and i'm bored to tears. hence, this random blog entry.

been working at this place for over a month or so? (or close to) and things have been okay so far; though i've this issue with punctuality (as always), and my hair can never manage to stay tame, and my makeup is far from satisfactory, work has been pretty okay actually.

the people are not bad, but there's this particular idiot who's been getting on my nerves. i swear i've never met such an incompetent fool. but then again, it's not my place to really comment (although i just did. hahahahaha) the guests are really nice overall, and the kids here are awesome. little blobs of human running around being all sweet and cuddly. makes my heart go all 'awwwwwww' melts*

i might just bring a big enough bag to kidnap one of them home one day. heeheehee evil*

was searching for what kind of careers i could do based on my personality because i have so many damned interests that i just CANNOT decide for the life of me what i want to do in the future.

there are 16 different personality types, and mine is ENFP: the Idealist Champion.

went on the net and searched around for the analysis for my type, and it is really quite interesting because it's quite accurate! even down to how ENFP's are like in relationships are absolutely spot on for me, and the careers that are listed down are really what i would really be interested in doing!

so for those of you who are kinda lost in what you might wanna do as a career in the future, you could try the quiz and see what it says. no harm in doing it right? also, you could always take it as an opportunity to get to know yourself better.

good idea right? (: might blog more about ENFP types in the future but i'm kind of running out of time over here. should blog more loh, esp at work. i wish tower 1 and 2 would have computers to use though. >:[

been long since i've updated, and i feel like there's so many things to say. my blog has been like a best friend to me since way back, always being there when i feel the need to write down something or when i can't find the words to say how i feel. 

a similar need has arisen, but the words can no longer be said. does it matter, how much i want to say? does it matter, what i want to say? 

i feel like i've changed in so many ways, both good and bad. 

sometimes i find myself struggling between feeling contented and fighting to stay that way. but amongst all changes i guess i never thought i'd find myself like this once again. full of challenges in daily life, minor ones for most. juggling work, family, friends and love, i guess this is the slow yet inevitable transition into adulthood which i've been dreading for so long. 

i don't know what i want, don't know how to go about achieving anything, and yet i'm quite certain of somethings that i simply must do in order to improve upon myself. 

and yet, Rome wasn't built in a day; likewise, i cannot achieve anything big with hasty steps, but with little ones i'm quite sure i'll get there. where ever there may be.

the biggest challenge is still feeling so emotionally stifled, while voicing out how i feel. am still learning the concept of not being able to have the best of both worlds, but i feel like i'm in over my head sometimes. 

so weak, so useless.

this is just a random entry on a random night, with random words on a random site.

feels like i'm nothing, because i am nothing. not even a footprint in the world will be there to show that i've made my mark somewhere.

and yet i will try, and try. in what ever it is. i know not to give up, though sometimes i'm unclear as to what i'm fighting for.

 these words, i hold dear. not only because it's tattooed on the one man that makes this world even more so incredibly special, but also because it does hold meaning even before.

so..... i changed my blog post! and now it's looking like one of those old blogger templates. hahahahaha. did that whole 'Text in words' thingy and turns out its actually pretty easy actually.

i don't have photoshop cause it's really expensive and the trial periods online are a pain in the ass to download, so i use this free image editing software called 'GIMP', and it works pretty well for minor editing of images. doesn't have as many effects and stuff like Photoshop does, but it's good enough for me. heehee

okay, so photos. some from the iphone, some from my laptops webcam. too lazy to do much about it, and i've loads of really backdated photos.

am spending my days doing nothing much in particular, just working at a stupid job and lazing at home too tired to think of anything else.


never thought that life could be this stressful from all sides. unhappiness shouldn't be part of my life right? or anyone elses for that matter.

Pets

my cute lil babies who are so naughty at times that i really feel like spanking them hard. but who could bear to?

my entire family took off for a church camp in malaysia, and left me alone at home with these two. it was just short of a complete nightmare, with them peeing and shitting everywhere, and what with them scratching away at the door and whining/barking when i don't wanna let them into the room in case they pee/shit in there.

opening the front door when i ge home is one of the worst, cause i know what i should expect, but i don't know how bad the mess is. Duffy loves looking for things to chew and he loves digging into the rubbish like a raccoon, whilst Skippy loves going on a peeing spree all over the floors when he has nothing much to do. pretty horrible actually.

but they're the two most lovable darlings in the world, and nothing beats coming home and having them greet you excitedly, with Skippy jumping up and down like a maniac for you to carry him, and Duffy running around your ankles and nibbling your toes to get your attention. (sounds horrible but really, VERY cute.)
